94 5.0 stalls out

Hi, Just was wondering if anyone has experience with this problem. My 94 GT 5.0 has developed a stalling problem while driving. It will just suddenly cut out, dead. I hit the clutch and turn the key and it starts up again. But its really really annoying, happens at least once a day. The local dealer said its a classic ignition module problem, so I had it replaced, no change in the car. No error codes either. I also have a hard starting problem sometimes, it will just turn over for 30 seconds, without kicking and then starts and runs fine. Doesn't seem to be temp dependent as it can happen when the car sits 10 minutes or overnight.
Anyway I am stuck for an answer, anyone have any ideas? I don't want to pay for another ignition module, as I don't think this is the problem.I am thinking this is some sensor problem or a wiring problem. any ideas? any at all?
any help appreciated.

sounds like you got a wire that's grounding out somewhere for the random cutouts, probalby in the circuit leading to the ignition coil. as for the hard starts, i'm not sure... it might be something to do with compression on one or more cylinders. or maybe injectors.

Yes I drive the same car and have had same problem. Is this car completely stock?
My problems started when I started to do modifications to the fuel system specifically. I believe this was directly related to hard starts in the morning and sometimes even when it was warm. The problem I believe was that one I was running to large an injector for one and my pressure was to high. It was as like it was getting way to much fuel and basically getting flooded. Im not 100% sure but when I backed off the fuel pressure the hard start problem went away.

As far as the car stalling out, well again this problem started after lots of mods. Making changes the the air intake and changing the amount of fuel I believe threw off the cars idle and more importantly I think confused the computer. So I tried to adjust the idle myself, that didnt help. The fix ended up being disconnecting the negative battery terminal for about 15 minutes which resets the computer. The stalling problem went away. Will this fix your problem that I cannot guarantee because I don't know what you have done to your car. But it might be worth a try. Have you checked your distributor and rotor. If either one of them are faulty that could also be why your stalling out, then there is bad coil or plug wires.

I also have had this problem with my stang a 94 5.0 bone stock. I was getting a code but can't remember now what the code was. But the code was saying that the device inside of the distributor was where the problem was. (Not sure if that is what you replaced already) I replace the entire distributor along with new cap and rotor bug. The problem was gone, as for your hard starting problem I am not sure but did not have that problem with mine. Just a thought have you changed out your fuel filter?

I can look up what code I was getting if needed. I hope this helps.
