As you know, this article is a little bit( or much) old thing. but yesterday
incidently skipping this, found some strange paragraph in this article.
http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/picture_library/dir_12/car_portal_pic_6334.jpg?8552
"Aesthetically, its bent headlamps still don't work for me but Borel says that, aerodynamically, it's a great shape. It has a low Cd of 0.32 and downforce is positive but modest, so it's stable at speed while squandering little of the 3.8-litre twin-turbo V12's huge power driving through the air. It could have done better than 223mph at Nardo, too, he adds. Apparently, when it was unloaded from the truck, the underside of the front spoiler was disturbed and there was no time to fix it. In perfect trim and with an even longer sixth gear ratio it could crack 400km/h, says Borel, matter-of-factly. That's 249mph, or 8mph faster than the McLaren F1. "
this sentence of above paragraph " In perfect trim and with an even longer sixth gear ratio it could crack 400km/h, says Borel, matter-of-factly. That's 249mph, or 8mph faster than the McLaren F1.",
is this really real? could the Edonis hit 400km/h ? now only question mark is hoverring around my head. and i already sent this question to this website concerned person(www.evo.co.uk) while waiting their response.
somebody can give me a full detail of this or certain answer(means that
Edonis had penetrated exactly 249mph at the Nardo test track or not) before arrival of their reply? To many Edonis enthusiasts, my mention can be reflected as rude or sarcastic expression. but as for me, this came from just just pure curiosity. please understand.

...and with a longer 6th gear ratio, the McLaren could have gone faster too.
The potential might be there in the Edonis or the Koenigsegg or the Veyron, but until they set the mark its just hearsay really. :nono:

Hello,
The Edonis reaches 359.6 km/h or 223,4 on Nardo during a test of french magazine Sport Auto (this article was quoted worldwide). Damn, I don't find the issue :(
I remember the car would go faster but it was in developpement. In my head, article with Mason's F1 was few time after the Nardo test, so I think 249 is not official.
Maybe today, it has beaten 400 km/h wall ?
Ciao
Phil

the last info i got from edonis was that the car was still in the development stage, and only two road going prototypes had been built. 223mph is the only official top speed at the moment, but if it, as sugested in the evo article, gets a longer 6th gear ratio in the final production version, it may be able to do 400+km/h.

The Koenigsegg is already for sale in USA. Now that would be a better comparison.
