yea it looks pretty nifty, but you would still need to get all the software and a laptop

Got an old laptop that could run it and according to him, i just download the software free of charge.

I use a datalogger all the time and yes the scanning software is free but a bonus is you can use the cable to modify your pcm using editing software you can buy from $50 - 100.
