Good question, but if you get an H22A then you will have to down the compression if you want to run a lot of boost. I assume you probably have an F22A right now, so you could replace some of the internals (pistons, rods, maybe sleeve it, etc) then add the turbo.
If you're set on the swap, and are looking to do something interesting, see if you can find an F20B , should be the engine used in the Accord SiR. However, I think the F20B runs pretty high compression also, like 11:1.

Check out www.andrewsimportperformance.com (http://www.andrewsimportperformance.com) they have like all kinds of low miles rebuilt motors, trans and ecu packs. The have a guide for what motor u need too.

Well if you are not going to do any block work and boost the stock block, then I say go with the b18b ls motor. But if you have enought money to get say new pistons, and rods..etc. then I say go with the b18c1 gsr motor! What is you power goal? A stock ls block boosted at 10psi with a kit can make 250whp, and the ls block can easily handle 12psi. It also comes down to budget, the cheapest would be go ls turbo, but if you got the cash for the more expensive motor, and you can dump money into rods and pistons, then gsr motor is deff. my pic.

why would you put a b series motor into an accord?

i agree with jajimo on the h22a. slightly larger displacement meaning 30% increase in hp and 8% increase in torque over the f22b. the f20b would be a good motor also.

ya, crap that is a good point. I read the question so quick I thought he had a civic. :screwy: Guess i was in too much of a hury at the time. So in that case scratch that, and go with the h22a.

I say h23 actually, since he plans for turbo.

there's nothing wrong with using a turbo with vtec.

not alot of opp for a turbo best to go all motor. so get a h22a or f20b and call it a day.

I never said there was, i'm just supposing that it'd be easier for him to prep an h32 since its lower compression to begin with.

you can put any motor into any car. how easy and how much is a different story. :evillol:
