2004 z71 transmission problem

hi, i just bought my truck less than a week ago when i had this happen to me . the transmission wouldn`t shift into 3rd gear. i had driven it with no problems on the freeway with out anything going wrong . it was at least 30 miles and i used cruise control . when i came to a stop and tried to give it gas it sounded like i had held in the clutch {it`s auto} when i tried to get it over 25 mph. trust me i was number 1 with alot of people driving behind me. after getting it towed back to the dealer and finding out the tran. mech . was on vacation till tuesday i have no clue as to how long it will be in the shop. has anyone else have this problem?

well i got my truck back from the dealer today. the 3rd and 4th gears were burned out after only 350 miles. they also replaced the valve body . can`t wait to see how long it takes for it to go down again. is this an ongoing problem for the 2004 ?

Never herd of this untill I read this post. But good luck. I hope that fixes the problem.
