Rear Brake Lights?

I recently discovered the rear brake lights in my 91 Accord LX aren't working. The rear window brake light does work. I took the lighting assemblies apart and there seem to be two bulbs, and testing them with the car in reverse and the lights on, both bulbs work in all four places. Just not when the brake pedal is pressed. Is there something I am missing here? I've checked all my fuses and they're good.

check up under the driver side dash, and look at where the brake pedal goes up. You will see where a plastic piece sits shere a bit of the pedal puches against it. That's what tells the lights to go on and off when you hit the brake. Mine broke last year and made my lights do wierd things. Like 2 dollar part at honda.

I had the same problem,on the pass. side in the trunk is the main plug I had to move this plug around to get my brake lights to work, I ended up putting a small nail in beside the plug to make the connection tighter it worked for me......
