radio static

I have a 88 Silverado that has a lot of static in the radio. Could this have something to do with the motor being replaced before and not hooking up the wires correctly?

make sure the body to block grounds are clean and tight. were the sparkplug wires changed? you might have to get wires with better sheilding. a bad alternator can cause static too. also you might wanna check the radio antenna conections.
