hey everyone, i am looking for a sedan that is reliable, economical, and has a little bit of get up and go to it (maybe it can go over 100mph), all for 5-10000 dollars. what sort of newer used cars could i get for the money that are around 98 and above? KIA's and Hyundai's don't apply.
secondary question that doesn't make this thread a 1 post waste of space: what is the most reliable car that you have ever gazed upon? Right now i have a 1982 dodge challenger (not the fast one) that has 300000k in mileage on the original engine. When i get back from my yearlong vacation on the beach, i am probably going to call a priest to perform last rites on the beast, and move on to newer, better things. However, the most reliable car i have ever seen was my dad's '64 dodge truck. that thing was built like an abrams tank, with 1.5 inch steel body. best of all was that it had a slant 6 that had 550000 miles on it before he sold it. that thing was a beast, and i never saw it break down. why can't they make cars like that now?

cars dont last as long today as they used to. the reason is companies started to use cheaper materials. but the most reliable cars are usually from japan, mostly honda's and toyota's. i think a good sedan that is reliable, economoical, and is kind of fast is the nissan sentra.
