DOHC ZC Head on Si Block? Why exactly doesn't it fit?

I have a SI and ZC head in my garage, and the only thing that I can tell that's different is the to poles that line up the head to the block, is there anything that would stop this head from being mounted on a Si block? Just curious mostly. I ZC Head I have is shot, but might be good info for the future.

not sure man, I have just always heard that it isnt compatible, but it would be tight if it did work, I wonder what compression that would run?

I looked at the two heads side by side today and they look like the are the same except that one alignment guide that hangs down, that is it.

Just go B or factory D, don't waste your money on a bullshit setup that will send you home crying

I don't know why anyone messed with SOHC or even DOHC zc's anymore they are just beat...not even worth the hassle

No um if you compare the dohc znd sohc headgasket only 8 out of 10 bolts actually line up.

I like D series, you can ask any of the older members

But the ZC that's......well they just belong in the trash IMO

No i just like mine its very reliable and has a good amount of power for kicking peoples asses, wait...
