Welcome back Kat! It's great to hear that you had a good time. My short time in Vegas left me relatively unimpressed. I just don't understand the whole obsession with gambling. I'm glad to hear you had a safe trip. :)

Well as far as winning goes, I came home with $5 :( I did not have ANY luck whatsoever. Neither did Alex. But our buddy Jay was a lucky ducky. He won over $3600 on the roulette table and also struck gold on the slots. He played away alot of his winnings and could came home with nearly $5000. Either way he still came home with more than my monthly pay...but I am not bitter :p
As for the CES show, we only hit the car audio and a bit of the home theater sections. Alex and I have been there 4 times already but for our 2 other friends this was their first time really seeing the show. They only cared about the car stuff too. The booths weren't as flashy as in the past (except for big names like Sony, Alpine, etc.). Alot of vehicles had killer stereo systems in them. My favorite was the Acura RSX in the Alpine booth. It had an awesome paint job (gaudy for my taste but it was done very well as far as the quality). I also got shots of a Ferrari. A LAmbo owned by Busta Rhymes was also used in a company's booth.
I still have to rename my pics and load them onto webspace. But to give you guys a little teaser...........

Huh?? If you mean who lost the most of us 4, it was me :D
Alex didn't really play much, he is not a gambler and our other friend played with a little money that Jay gave him. I prob lost about $80 or so. The rest of $$ went for food, gas, and entertainment....the Shark Reef at the Mandalay Bay was the best..............ever pet a stingray before? hehe.
I will try to get some pics up tonight, I was working on 2 ads last nite and didn't have time :(

so the person that lost the most money, only lost $80? that's not bad at all
that's almost like walking away winning at vegas, lol :)
compared to the people that lose thousands of $$$

No kidding hehe. There was this one guy that lost $3000 within minutes on the roulette table....looked like was in his early-mid 20's. He was betting in 100's at a time. Even $20 is precious to me so once I spent my "play" money I left the rest in the hotel room so I wouldn't be tempted. But hey at least alcohol was free...just tip the waitress a buck or 2. I got pretty wasted one of the nights we were there (and no, this is NOT a regular thing for me) so I at least had fun entertaining Alex and our friends in my drunken stupor.

TriState,
I was there last week Jan. 9-12. We stayed at Excalibur and went to that casino, Luxor, Mandalay Bay, and NewYork NewYork. We didn't go into any other hotels. We also did a few things off the Strip too. The pic of the Ferrari was taken at the Consumer Electronics Show...basically a preview show for business dealers and buyers to preview the up and coming products for this year. We only hit the car audio section and part of the home entertainment section...no one else in our group cared for blenders or electric cowbells too much LOL. I forgot which company's booth the car was in...i just wanted pics of it
We had an awesome time and are making plans for next year's show :)

I got lots of pics, but need to load them onto webspace. I have had other projects going on this week. I think I will just make a little mini web page for something for the trip :) Unfortunately I can't do anything on the computer at work...all my "fun stuff" is done at home.
Yes Luxor is the pyramid one. It is my favorite hotel. They have an IMAX movie place inside too. We stayed there last year. The rooms were like any average hotel room, but not like you go to Vegas to stay in, right? The Shark Reef in Mandalay Bay was my favorite part of the trip. I will be putting up those pics too.

To me Vegas sucked. I have been there twice (stayed @ MGM Grand and Mirage) and wasn't impressed by anything. The only thing that I enjoyed was clubbin, getting flashed a gazzilion times in one night, and the street races in the late hours.

In the daytime Vegas is not that great. We had a ton of planned to do to keep occupied and the good time had was being in the company of our good friends :) I will say this...3 days of Vegas is enough for any of us. We went up Wednesday and by SAturday we were definitely ready to come home.

i went to vegas when i was like 11 years old, i dunno why parents took me. It was fun, but vegas isn't really for people under 21. We stayed at the MGM Grand, the hotel room was awesome to say the least :)
