Ignition Switch Compatibility

I've got a question about my 1990. I'm trying to figure out if it would be possible to put the newer ignition switch like the 91 and newer Cherokees had. The one you can get the the trapezoid head key for. I'd like that one because my ignition switch is going bad anyway so I figure I might as well upgrade. What all would it require replacing to upgrade? Thanks for any help.

Yes its possible. Just a few screws and wires nothing more.
