i have an intake and it causes my service engine light to come on and now e-check has starting to do obd tests on all 96 cars and up .. so i reset my computer by pulling the - wire on my battery and took it up there they said that my computer isn't putting out a reading? does anyone know if there is anything that i can do to fix the problem?

Whenever the check engine light is reset i.e. pulling the battery wire off, all of the readiness monitors are reset as well. So your vehicle will come up "not ready for testing". The monitors will have to be placed in the "ready mode" by the ecu before you can pass the emissions. This takes particular drive cycles until the monitors will set, the only problem being that when the monitors set this will throw your check engine light. You can't do the emissions without the monitors being set and you can't pass emissions with a check engine light on. What is the code for the check engine light? Are you sure it is the intake? What you need to do is fix the problem causing the check engine light first, then set the monitors in the ecu and finally pass the emissions.
