first off, i want to say thanks to all who have helped me. this 240sx forum is great. i just ordered an apexi n1 single tip cat-back exhaust and an injen intake with the cold air extension. im ordering headers in one month. in everyones opinion, was this a good way to start?

imho, its the best way to start, unless you want suspension. but the mods you listed help a little bit with out other mods, but help a lot more with bigger mods. its what everyone does, but that doesnt mean anything, at least its not a civic
btw, did you get the zx fuel filter yet?? thats another good one.

what bigger mods would they help out alot with? no i havent got the 300zx fuel filter yet, but do you know where i could pick one up and for how much? some suspension work is next, maybe some eibach springs and tokico shocks. can you explain to me what is the difference between shocks and struts? from my understanding shocks are in the front and struts are in the back? im not talking about strut bars i know what those are. thanks for the help man its apprecitated.

i dont know much about suspension, my friend did a bunch of work and tried explaining to me what everything was and how it went together, and it was jibberish, with the "bigger mods" idk, with a turbo- intake helps cuz of the better air flow, exhaust helps cuz of flow. i have eibach springs, but im not sure what i else i have. the fuel filter you can pick up at any auto shop, 20 bucks at the most. i paid 15 for mine. just go in and be like, yeah, i need a 300 zxtt fuel filter. its located right by the intake mani, bolted to the wheel well. looks like a can with tubes coming out of the top and bottom.
here is a whole thread on where and how to change the filter http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=211173&highlight=fuel+filter
