My opinion.... and from what I've known people to do..... its whatever size you can wedge into the car. Unless you are trying yur best to return it to complete stock.

The dask speakers I guess are the hardest... but I think they are like 2 or 2.5 inch. As far as the back... I'd try to at least put 6x9. If you plan on subs in the trunk though... you'll either need baffles or enclosures for the 6x9s. Yes, you can put and enclosure around them while mounted in the stock position. And a baffle is just a rubber boot that sourrounds them. If you dont use these, the subs will have a habit of bottoming out the 6x9s.

Yea, i havent look under the dash yet, but i was think i could try to cut out space for maby 6-1/2 components and 6X9s in the back. No subs tho cause he has 3 pumps and like 6 batteries in the trunk (it will pancake! :lol2: ) So the 6X9's will fit pretty easy, do you think 6-1/2s there will be room (depth) for the 6's?

Hmm..... I dont know. There really isnt a whole lot of area up there. If you want to see what you think... the covers pop right off. I cant really recommend any particular size. Mine still has the stock speakers, and I've never known anyone to put any other size. They've all just rerun the wire and put the front speakers somewhere else. (Under the seat, against the kickpanels, under the center console... odd places)

The factory spear size is 3.5 inch speaker up front and 4x10 inch in the back. 4x10 speakers are VERY rare, and sound like crap too. Most people (including myself) cut the back deck and make a new one out of plywood wrapped in carpet and put in 4 6x9's. You have to pull the back seat about an extra inch or two away from the window, but you can fit a board with 6x9's back there. I currently have 4 pioneer 5-way 6x9's (ts-a6990r) hooked to an alpine amp and they sound AWESOME! Even have a lot of bass too. Ppl who ride in my car swear I have at least a set of 10 inch woofers in my trunk.
