Help me fix my climate control

Here's the deal. 95 Civic, lights on the climate control keep going on and off. More off then on. When they are on, i barely touch the thing and it shuts off, then might come back on again a week later. So I took the thing apart, hoping to see something obvious, and nothing. Bulbs are fine, wiggled all the cables, and nothing. Couldn't get it the lights to come on. This was the hardest thing I've ever done on my car. Taking apart my transmission twice (don't ask) was easier than this. Theres no room to work and the connectors are ridulous to reconnect. So whats going on here. What am I missing? How do I fix this damn thing. I included some pictures below.

This connector is the biggest piece of shit on the entire car!

Well you need to back-track. Check the connection to the bulbs, then check the power going to them. Check any and all fuse connections and check for moisture in the system as well.

Does this only happen when u touch the thing??

U could use some connector- spray(I dont know the name something which cleans the connectors) and clean all these small connectors, if this isnt working there maybe a problem with the cable or the cable is broken. U should grab a multimeter and check this! Hope this helps

btw- does this occur on both backlights (AC and air)??? Then it must be the cable if not it could be the bulb because the backlights are on the same cable!

Both of my civics do the same thing, I just haven't had time to mess with it. Try going to Honda-tech.com(I think). I know there was a section on that, that a lot of people gave their input on. Some got real detailed about what they did to fix it
