exactly that would be best to do hi comp pistons but if he doesnt want to tear apart the engine then there are more bolt ons like cam gears. pulleys, upgrade cpu, uprgrade fuel system and gut the interior. Im sure there is more but the best way to go NA is raise the compression, im not sure of what kind of ratios to use but ive heard of racers using 13 or 14:1 ratios and im sure higher but dont take my word im not sure what would be safe.

a 14:1 car is retarted for street use..and say fare well to pump gas !!!! and cam gears are gonna be a waste of money with type R cams in my book. I say go the next step up with a set of JUN stage 1, Crower Street 1's or Toda Spec A's and then a set of AEM Tru Time cam gears to back it up....set your timing ahead a degree or 2 and lower your Vtec engaugment with rather a chipped ecu or perhaps a good controller, also throw in a quick shift kit B&M race or something with a real quick throw. You dont have to pay big money and do major mods to get " quick " ! If you want massize HP numbers then your gonna have to go boost, but who cares about numbers unless your strip ! Day to day driving with these mods and you will be very happy with your outcome ! but further down the line a set of 11:5:1 pistons or just a set of type r pistons would get that compression up and give you alot more pull but dont go higher than that !

http://www.hondaswap.com/forums/html/emoticons/thumbsdown.gif You're book sucks. Almost every single set of ITR/CTR cams I have seen benefited from 2-3 degrees of advance.
