My lighter quit working. I looked at the fuses in electrical distribution panel, but all the fuses are coded. Non indicate Cig lighter. So without taking out every fuse could some tell me which fuse is the lighter?
They have markings like IIL ICC ICL etc.
Thanks

Look on the actual panel that you remove to get access to the fuse block. I believe its on the passenger side's panel, at the end of the dash (you'll have to open the door to see the panel). On the inside of the panel that you remove they label the fuses with letters and have a legend next to the diagram. If you still can't find it, let me know and I'll check exactly which one it is.

If you have a 1997-2003 Malibu the cigar lighter fuse is in the underhood electrical distribution panel. You may not have looked there.

3 places for fuses.. driver side passenger side and under the hood.. you can always resort to your instruction manual its in there and nice pretty pictures of it..

Actually you don't need a manual. Just pop your hood and look on left side for the underhood electrical center. On the inside cover is fuse information which will tell you which fuse is the 20 Amp minifuse for Cigar Lighter/Aux Power Outlet. Of course if cover is missing then you will need more information. It is the only 20 Amp (Yellow) fuse in the center so shouldn't be hard to find (#34 on label). Lower Left Quadrant assuming this fuse label shows stuff in car position.
