I am at a lose as to where to start, I own a 1988 Mustang GT with basic mods. A 2 1/2 inch cat back with flowmasters and a K&N filter in the stock box. Everything else is stock, except for teh fact that I put on some sub-frame connectors and new cross drilled and slotted front rotors. I am a mechanic, well my father is I am still only 16. I am sort of confused as to where to start on my project. I am limited in funds, so no supercharger...Yet. But I heard the first thing to do was get a Mass Air conversion, then you could continue with other things liek heads and new intakes. I also would like to get the Cobra Intake Manifold, if anyone knows any other better intakes for the same price feel free to tell me so. I appreciate anyone's help, this is goign to be a daily driver, and a rice burner on the track. LONG LIVE PUSHRODS!

Gears, Headers, Pulleys small things

Heads, Intake, Cam better things(Forget Cobra much better intakes out there.)

As far as MAF conversion.... Your speed density is faster stock than MAF. It can deal with heads intake and all the other bolt-ons. Only issue that it has is with cam-swaps cause most of the will mess up the MP. So yea you will probably do a MAF conversion but it can wait till you to heads and cam swap.

Thanks a lot, I don't knwo if this makes much of a difference in what I should do but the year is 1987, I said 1988 because that's the year I was born it was an accidental impulse, but thanks for you all your help non the less.

Cammotion Sold Roller ( 236/248 @ .050, .610/.632 w/1.7, 112LSA)
Motor went 10.80's @ 134 in a 3000 pound coupe (including driver) on PUMP GAS, with a 5-speed and drag radials. It went 10.0's @ 144 spinning fairly hard with a 150 HP shot of NX on pump gas, but with ET streets.
This motor setup cost over 5000 to build, it'll go for 4200 + shipping, it was just freshened up with new rings and bearings, zero miles on it. This price does not include fuel injectors, fuel rails, nitrous kit, MAF sensor, or headers.

I will have to talk to my father about this but I doubt I will be able to purchase that motor, I actually was looking into dropping a Boss in, but figured it owuld be cheaper to stick with teh stock block and work off of that I have heard they are very tough and usually good up til about 500 horses. But thanks for teh offer, if I could come up with that kind of money I would gladly buy it, heh but I'm poor. :(

Yeah comical indeed. I see these idiots at my school with there wings that look like they stole a bench outta the stadium. and the fat cans, it really pisses me off, damn Fast and teh Furious! Well it just gives us more useless cars to smoke...I wanna just buy one of those turbo mini vas to toast these guys in one day...That would be classic I kan see their face now...I hate unpainted body kits to, just my :2cents:

Heh, I am not saying all imports are bad, just ricers. ANyone who drives aroudn with an unpainted body kit, neon lights, and/or a fart can deserves to be smacked.

Ya know there ought to be a point when you step back and look at your car and say thats enough. There is an aqua green Eclipse running around here that has got so many yellow stickers on it that from a distance the car almost looks yellow. I dont think that there is anything that this guy hasn't put on this car. Mudflaps, huge wing, huge fart can, the works. I feel imbarrassed for him. If I ever get a chance I'll take a picture and post it. And as far as unpainted body kits go I think that its actually a style. There are guys around here who have been riding around like that for well over a year.
