I have An 01' cherokee with the 4.0 liter engine. When the engine is cold it will hold 40 psi of oil pressure. As it warms up the oil pressure drops and at an idle at opperating temp the pressure is no existant. if ne one has aclue please help thnx

I guess that there is a lot of people with the same problems. I too have trouble with my 98. I replaced the sender and it was ok for a couple thousand miles and then back to very little pressure at idle. I bought a cheap guage at the auto store and hooked it up ( manual type) and I was running 40-45 at approx. 2000 rpm hot and 25 at idle. My dash guage was up and down while driving and very low at idle, I have read lots of letters in these types of forums. I wonder whats up. If anyone has an idea let us know.
