A/C Compressor Failed?

Ok... My A/c Compressor started to make a chattering noise for about 3 months and then 2 days ago that noise stopped but so did the cold air. Does anyone know if I need to replace the compessor has it gone bad? I am going to try to recharge it tonight w/ seal stop I will post my findings after I do so. Has anyone had a chattering compressor? if so what did you do to fix? Thanks :banghead:

Ok, The A/C Compressor threw a bearing.... I need a new compressor. :(
