They could ditch the 2 series... if not enough people wanted the 318, 320, 323 and they quit making it, then why make a cheaper version with a even smaller engine???

theyre trying to compete with honda civics and crap like that. I think it would be a good idea if they beefed up the engine a bit, but i dont think they will be very competitive.
What about //M cars?? are they going to make an M2 or an M6??

I've heard reports that the M3 in 2dr version will be called the M2.. dunno why if under the same pretense they would call a 2dr version of the M5 a M6 instead of a M4.... MMMmmmm Goood.

I about the M3 coupe to M2 thing, from what I've read, it seems to me that the low end 3ers will be the new 2ers. 3er compact = potential 2er?!? But then you have the 4er being based on the E90 3er. But I guess the 4er will be analogous to the Z3 for the 3er: same platform, different car.
