What Engine can fit for 96 Sunfire

Does anybody know what is the biggest engine I can put in my 96 Sunfire? Iv'e heard of freinds putting a 3.8 liter v6 in theres but they werent much help for me. PLease help me.

You can put any size engine in you wish. It all depends on how much money you have.

u can put a bigger engine in your car put u have to rebuild the car from the frame up. u can only put a 2.4 engine in it.everything else is to big to fit

Ok question... I have a 95 2.2L If I want to put a 2.4L in it what all do I have to change to do that? Somebody told me that the computer
plug-in's don't fit and you have to change your tranny? Is that right?
I really know nothing about my Sunfire and am trying to learn.

any car is worth fixing up! its youre second most expensive investment. besides its fun

to change it to a 2.4 u have to take the engine apart and bore out the block......or just buy a new engine
