we were at a red light on route 1 and this guy gave us a little head nod it was a 98 gsx turbo getin ready to race my friends hooked up m3 so they both line up the gsx starts to redline it i guess thats how he luanches we look over to tell him on green go and there was this loud pop his hood gave a little jump and that was it his car was gone i felt a tear start to form in my eye i think i was in more shock then he was :eek2:
but my question is could a hooked up gsx take a near fully moded m3

that is a great comparison... what year M3 was it? the newer ones are at near max mods straight out of the box. i know even Dinan barely touches them, like a modded airbox and a slightly better exhaust [in the engine dept.]
E-46 Stats (http://www.supercarstats.com/car/exotic-stats/bmw_e46_m3.shtml)
you can see that 13.3 @ 107mph is fiarly impressive out of the box for a 3500lb car. figure that a well modded GSX will run into the 12's with a GOOD driver. and add a few mods to the M3 and you should be into the 12's as well. when i get my M3 twards the end of this year i'll race somebody's GSX out here and give up the info... ;)
