Any FF drifters here?
Or... drift stories?

I doubt there are any really serious drifters out there with front wheel drive. It'll be too hard to lose control of the rear end.
But I guess when it snows out and the plows haven't plowed yet, I guess I go "drifting" in my FF civic.

I'm sure you've all heard it before, so I'll say it again. You can't TRUELY drift a FWD car. You can kinda power slide it around. You can even pull some nice inertia drifts if your going fast enough but true drifting needs a RWD platform.
And as for stories, After I got into a minor accident (I scratched the paint on my bumper) I stopped doing it cause I realized how incredibly stupid it was to do it in populated areas. But I still goto abondoned sections of the city with friends and tear ass to make sure I don't forget. Hell just earlier tonight I did a few inertia drifts to scare the hell out sparqy :hehe:

I tried..... once. It wass around a really sharp cruve and I took it at about 55MPh or so. Well, the back end began to drift, and then I started loosing it, so I quickly downshifted and let the foot of the throttle and applied a little brake and staightened he back out. Fun, but I don't think I will be doing that again any time soon.

I do that too,it ain't really drifting, but it still is fun
Sometimes I do it on the dry or wet pavement too, just a little bit harder, but still fun.

Yeah, yeah... we know... :D
It's more difficult to maintain a drift w/ FWD than w/ a RWD.

thats not drifting that rallying LOL :flash: thats some good ass out sideways action there i'd say
thats some crazy shit how long did it take to clean the car? any damage?
My brother drove of the road (by accident) in his car and the front license plate moulded into the bumped and it was covered in mud! He was doing 40mph in the dark on some country back road - Gravel he didn't notice the turn whooof down he went lol

i used to be into it...minorly...i've only gotten 2 turns...nothing big like 5 or 6...i broke some shit had some close calls...so im done.
my front tires got not traction, when i need them too and went into a small hill slowly...cracked my side "clear corner"...pulled the e brake to swing the ass around....slowed me down and turned me just right.
went sideways on a 45 degree curve (i thought it was sharper)...i corrected myself before going off into a field...i got a thumbs up from some truck that saw it...:)
went broadside...and kept sliding...almost smashed the driverside door on a stop sign.
ass draggin ("driftng") following a guy i know...he got his front drivers side tire in some stones when he poped the clutch and spun a shit load of stuff into my front end...cracked my glass fog light cover and blinker housing.
i've had my share of fun tho, maybe when the summer comes along i will get back into it.
