What's up everybody? This is my first post here. Great site and discussions. Anyway, I need a little help installing my projector headlights(generation 3). This has probably been asked a 1000 times and must get old, but any help would do. I just purchased about a week ago and really don't want to wreck anything. I've heard from different people that if you don't wire them correctly, they have a tendancy to blow the bulbs. I was told they were a direct replacement and would need no modifications. The headlights have 2 red & 2 black wires coming out the back them. I can't figure out what to do with them. Should I even connect them to anything? It looks like I would have to splice into a different wire to connect them. Any help would do.

Heres a How to:
Pick up headlight, Put back in box, sell on ebay or send it back where you got it.
Please stop contributing to the ugly ass mods that people put on their cars to rice them out.
There are plents of better looking headlights that are actually cheaper.
You could clear yours or you could paint yours

Hey,
I have the same problem with the exact same headlights. I worked on it myself but I want the low beam, dual halos and high beam to come on all separate.
I learned that this couldn't be done because your day time running lights stay on when the I drop my e-brake on my manual Civic. I did get my dual halos and blue ion low beam to work tho. What I did was I removed the wire going to my driving lights so they are disabled but the bulb is still in for looks but I have no high beam now.
I was also told that I would need relays and a wiring harness as my buddy has them on his car but they came with his.
I will work on them and let you know...Email me if you need to.

plug big wire into headlight socket where u orignally pulled ur headlight bulb off of, then run the red wires into a HOT wire, wheather u run them from a switcot doesnt really matter so long as they go on when u want them, and black goes to the ground

i have similar headlights on my 95 civ..... personally i wouldnt waste my time, im putting my stock ones back on and just getting some vision amber turn signals.
First off they arent bright enough personally, since they take the H1 bulb (well at least on mine)
Secondly, i hooked up my halo's to my parking lights... go down to radio shack and they have plastic pieces that allow you to add another wire to an exsisting line with out having to cut it. I have never had a problem, all you have to be careful about is makin sure which wire controls turn signals and which one just controls your parkin lights.
If you want ill tell you the color on mine, and hopefully if you still want them can just snap it all together.

Oh and make sure to run a bead of sealant around the housing lip, or itll fog up on any cold and or rainy day.
