Brake light question - electrician needed

Here's something that stupified me.:bloated:
My friend's civic has this problem. His center brake light goes on when the brakes are applied, but the other two brake lights don't. I checked the bulbs and fuses. Both are fine. The bulbs are fine because when he turns the lights on, they light up. What could it be?

Are you sure the bulbs didnt go out before and he replaced them? If that is the case then it could be that he bought single filliment bulbs meaning that it will only run or in a blinkers case....it will only blink. Check that out and if that's not it then the whole car might have to be rewired. :(

Ummm.. I had answered this.. but my post is gone? Is this a double thread? :D
I had wrote to chk the bulbs again cuz brake lights have double filaments... so the regular lights that are on could show as 'out' when brakes are applied. Meaning one of the 2 filaments is burnt out.. :)
