Well, to make it simple, has anyone here ever rigged the mexican juice to a camaro? It's extremely cheap, my buddy who has a 6cyl mustang and hung with a c-5 from what he tells me. I have the 305 H.O. with a rochester quadrajet carb.. I was lookin at this system... http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=EDL%2D70002&view=2047 It's pretty cheap, and I like edelbrock. I imagine it would be worth it. Tell me what you guys think...

without forged internals and a high vol pump your takin a risk everytime you'd push the button. i'm just not a fan of NOS, i like to leave to imports that are designed for 8000 rpm rev's

dont cut corners. for a little more you could probably rework your heads, put in a rev hard kit, and throw a half decent cam in and notice a nice increase in power. thats atleast a few of the mods i plan on doing to my 305 this summer. theres a lot of potential for these engines so dont give up so quickly people just dont like to hot rod a 305 because after all is said and done you couldve used the money for a crate engine but why not have the fun with building up what you have?

yeah, whenever you run a power adder, your engine should be built with that in mind. if your gonna throw NOS at a stock 305, also include an automatic ignition retard, and higher flow fuel pump, and do not run more than a 100 shot. i would recomend 50hp if anything. maybe 75hp.

Not nice...but I would NEVER hook up NOS to my car unless I did what these guys said and completely beef up the internals, but thats sooo much money, and I don't know sh*t about working on the inside of an engine...so it scares me to even attemp to work on beefing up the internals...not to mention buying and installing the nitrous. :2cents:

i once saw nos hooked up to a ninja, the rear seat for the passenger flipped up and there was a little bottle underneath it. i nearly dropped my balls just thinking about how fast that would be...

I know I'm gonna catch hell for this, but actualy, as long as you keep your foot on the gas through the whole stage of nitrouse then you should be fine with out a beefed up rotating assy or high flow fuel pump, and as long as you don't have a rediculouse amount of juice flowing. I would deffinatly get an MSD 7/AL box though. 100 shot is a bit much I wouldn't go any further than 75hp, you should be safe with that.

Not to quote a ricer movie but, "it doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile, winnigs winning." In a street race, yeah it's cheating, but at the track I don't think so. I think it's a compatition leveler..LOL

I would rather put my money into my engine and make real power instead of going with the quick fix not that nos isn't real power but i think that its the easy way out.

:iagree: Pushing a button and getting hundreds of hp...not too cool. Theres nothing like raw engine horses. Why not strap a Jet engine on the back...thats cool! :loser: But however as much as I don't like nitrous, when your a pro dragger at the strip with a car that is by no means street legal, then go for it.

EDIT: My smiley with the sign is intended for z28Boy...they just got to postin before I did.

NOS made by Holly is a pretty good brand; however nitrous, is spasmatic. I wouldn't put it in my car. I am more about large turbos that give almost constant power, or a supercharger or two(not on my car though).

Go for real true always there rice frying action. Fry those civics.

It's just a simple Abreviation... I used to think it was cheesy, cause like you said, it's not your motor or anything, it's a little juice into your SLOW motor to try and keep up. But considering a really good set-up should run you clsoe to $1000, and w/o any other work, you r bound to F*CK sumthin up soon enough, I guess it's a legit mod. It also has become appealing to me because if you build a bulletproof monster that can handle it, you can drive around with, say, 450HP, but for a race make that 550HP or even 600HP at the push of a button.
