Has anyone physically seen the 300C that is just coming out? yesterday, I noticed my neighbor parked their new car in front of my house and that car looked so familar but cannot place my finger on it. Once I went outside and saw the Chrysler emblem, my memory instantly returned! It is the new 2004-5 300C. Car looks alot smaller than what it looks like from the pictures. This model did not have the Hemi tho. Must be a 3.5 V6 model. Inside looks very nice. Very luxurious. They still kept the same style of cluster gauges that came off the 300M.

If it doesn't have a hemi, it's not a 300C. I haven't seen one up close and personal yet

If this 300C I was looking at in front of my house has a Hemi, it does not show it. If memory serves, the Hemi has bigger rims, dual exhaust? maybe have a Hemi emblem somewhere? Basically a more sporty agressive appearance. I just saw a rinky dink single pipe coming out the back. I did remember reading somewhere in the Chrysler forums that Chrysler will make the 300C with V6's as a base model right? and Hemi's will be in their luxury higher 300c models?

Nope. The 300C will only have the Hemi. The lineup goes like this (from lowest model, to top of the line)
300 Base
300 Touring
300 Limited
300C
The base, Touring, and Limited all have a V6. So you are partially correct. There are 300's in the lineup with a V6, but only the 300C has the Hemi, and that is the only engine for the 300C.

Ah, I see. I think Chrysler should stay away from these various choices if they are focusing on their flagship and just stay with the 300C hemi!!! Just like the 300M, there is only one model, one engine, etc...

Personally, I am amazed, and very pleased that Chrysler offers such a high performance RWD car as their mainstream sedan. 0 to 60 in 5.3 sec!! Is this the same company that was trying to sell such a useless lump as the Dynasty just 12 years ago??

I'm sorry to say i bought a 2005 chrysler 300C. This car is awesome. until you drive it.i've had it 2 weeks and it has been in the shop 3 times
the vehicle pulls to the right. chryslers hot line told the dealer to undo the motor mounts and let the engine reseat itself into the cradle. this helped for about 50 miles. today 5/13/04 the factory tech and the district manager came to the dealership to work on the car. they said nothing was wrong with the vehicle. although when the dealership reported the problem to detroit. they reponded that they were aware of the problem. now there not aware.
I love the car i just want one that tracks straight down the road.
i do not have the car back yet but the district mgr called and said his report to detroit would be no problem.
i understand this man needs a job and has to say what detroit tells him to say.
same with the dealership. they will agree with me that the car pulls..but there loyalty is to chrysler.
a smart businessman knows that anyone buying a cutting edge product knows and talks about his purchase.
you would think they would know i have nothing but bad things to say.
this auto is a real attention getter. people are always asking me about it.
i have nothing but negatives. anyone else got this problem with the 300C?

Bobbyc,
Why don't you ask your dealer to replace the car, or give you one to drive (loaner) and see if it doesn't do this same thing?
There's three (i know 2 are "c"'s) of them here at work, and the people who have them seem to be quite impressed, and haven't had any trouble. I have a bad habit of drooling over new Chrysler's in the parking lots, and grilling the owners when I find out who owns it...
personally I think the door windows look kinda small, but overall the whole 300 looks very nice.
Stick with your dealer.. They'll (Diamler-Chrysler) buy it back if something's really not fixable. And stay on their behinds about getting it resolved.

I saw one rollin' down the street the other day, but I think it was a 300 Touring, not a 300C.

A friend of mine works for a temporary labour agency. The Chrysler plant in Brampton, Ontario was using the huge parking lots at a nearby amusement park (Canada's Wonderland) to store several weeks worth of 300C production in March and April while dealers, mostly in the US were getting up to speed on selling the new car. So myfriend spends about a week just driving the new 300's around the huge lots, loading and unloading them, onto transport trucks. He said that a lot of the cars had non working items, such as power windoes and mirrors that would not budge, no ventilation in some, no radio operation, etc.
I guess Chrysler expects these problems to be fixed at the dealer level before delivery, but you have to wonder about a factory which lets so many little things get by them.

Magic Rat,
Most all of the electronics are not activated until the car goes through PDI at the dealership. That is why those items were not working. I drove one at a dealership that had just come off the truck and the same thing happened. There was a paper in the car warning it not be driven until electronics all activated.

Bobby,
I have had a Magnesium 300C for three weeks. I have not experienced the pulling at all. I love the car but I have the rear end making some interesting noises. It is going in for them to look at, if they can not resolve I will insist on a new car and will not stop until I am satisfied.
