STILL fighting the same stupid problem...

OK, I'm still battling with this Injector code. I tested for continuity to the ECU and it's ok. So I narrowed it down to being a bad injector. I had another set sitting around from a B18A so I tossed them in. I am still getting the code, and injector #1 is not spraying. Is there any chance that this is something other than a bad injector? Is there a way to test my old injectors to see which one is bad and which ones I can use? Will it be a problem to mix the B18A injectors with the D16A6 injectors? These are the questions that I have, I'm hoping some of you guys have some answers, cuz I am at a loss!

ps. I haven't been around here much due to my insane school schedule... In case you wanted to know, and even if you didn't, I am just about to wrap up my first year of dental school, and my first semester of taking 28 credit hours! Now I know why my car has barely progressed from where it was in October!!! In one week I'll be 25% dentist!

Did you check the wiring to that injector? Heres (http://www.binghamtonlife.com/manual/2gsm/fuel_and_emissions.htm) a flowchart on how to test them. Go to that page then go to 11-100 through 11-104. And man, I had no idea you were in school to be a dentist. Shit, i wish i did something smart like that. Instead im learning to be a mechanic. Good luck with that.

i had that problem. i just took the fuel rail off zip tied the injectors to the rail and removed the wires so no big bang happened. and then tried to crank it a few times you can see them spray. i've got the code before and i checked it... they all sprayed well so i left it at that and the code didn't come up again.? it could just be a bad resistor wire also... or the whole box

That's what I was going to suggest... test the wiring from the resistor and make sure it's getting the proper amount of power.

Also, check your fuel rail and make sure that nothing is clogging that particular port where the injector connects to it.

I guess I hadn't really thought of it being a resistor problem... I have checked the rail, and it doesn't seem to be clogged. Is there something that I can clean the injectors with directly, like carb cleaner or something? Thanks for the help!

well they sell fuel injector cleaner but that goes through the whole system but it should help if theres any clogs i dont really know what else there is
