Car has not been driven for 3 years. Ran fine at the time.
Tried to start it last night after I did the following:
new oil and filter, new gas with additive, new fuel filter, new plugs and wires, new air filter, battery, etc.
Pulled old plugs and lubricated the pistons and cranked it without the plugs in. It turned over easily.
When I tried to start it, the engine starts (and sounds great) as long as the starter is engaged. When I turn off the starter, the tach immediately drops to 0 and the engine dies.
Any ideas? Thanks

I'm not sure what exactly you mean by this statement. Does it crank then fire and run and when you let go of the key it dies?

Sounds like your ignition module is either broke or not staying in place anymore. Take a look at it... sounds like it is moving and is not mounted anymore.

The ignition module was loose. It started right up.
