After letting the pop up spoiler of my porsche soak in paint thinner for a day i took it out and proceeded to scratch off the paint with my fingernail. I get as much off as i can and then take a took brush to it to get the paint out from between the little fins. thats when the damn thing crumbled in my hands :( :angryfire

Dude we've been talking about it for months! It's a very powerful degreaser that removes paint like it was nothing. All you have to do is wash off the CSC and you're ready to go again. It even works on the clear pieces like windshields and doesn't even haze them.

Sorry you soak the model for about a day, or longer and then rinse it off well.

Don't use Paint thinner. I have melted plastic on many models using it. I will ONLY use Castrol Super Clean from now on.

Another, quicker product for future stripping - brake fluid! Soak for an hour in a freezer bag and the part will come out like new.
As for your current spoiler problem, do you know anyone else that has that kit? You can pop out a reproduction pretty easily.

Castrol Super Clean was found to be better for stripping. It will actually remove some paint within minutes. Disposing of brake fluid can be a bitch too. At least the CSC is bio-degradable. I doubt I'd ever use brake fluid.

I really can't belive you soaked a plastic model in paint thinners!
And you didn't ask if it was a good idea!!!
As usual Guiddy is the best and has a spare GT3 spoiler!
Work out what you can send me in return and I'll have a friend pack and post it for you!

Try to use Revlon nail polish remover. It's very mild and safe for hands and skin. Just visit female stuff department and get pack of cotton pads too. I used both and Revlon better and faster than CSC. Although CSC better for primer stripping
