The paint looks great! What did you use?
How did the kit fit? Any problems?

Current projects: Bmw Alpina B6 2.8 and a Porsche 911 turbo

Is it Alpina from Revell Germany? I'd like to get it too but think it's not available in USA. Could you give me short description of this kit?

Thanks! I used "true match" flourescent orange on top of white primer. On top od the orange is several coats of testors gloss red enamel. I finished it off with 3 coats of high gloss clear. I then sanded the body with 2000 grit sandpaper and used a product called "nicsand" sanding gel to bring it to a shine.

Heh heh, quite a few. The hood and front bumper cover are very difficult to line up, just like on the 1:1 cars. There are sink marks on the rear spoiler of all 3 kits I have of this model. This was originally a "snap" kit when it was boxed as an anniversary Trans Am in the mid 90`s, so the assembly of certain subassemblies is rather awkward, especially the interior. It is worth the time though since it is a very accurate depiction of the real car. I wish someone would make a Firehawk kit!!!!!!!!

this alpina kit is indeed revell germany. Its a very good kit best i`ve seen of revells production. Front wheels turn right and left.Undercarriage detail is very good it think. Engine has good detail, interior is good, body had no molding stripes on it. Its molded in white, silver and black.

as for the pic that ales showed its the same car but i think the front seats are a little bit different. It costs 210eek in estonian money and maybe 13 dollars in american.

old thread alert.

his model is from 2002, i doubt the pictures are still on the server.

your best bet would be to send him a private message asking for new pictures.

Holy old thread ressurection Batman!!! :D
I`ll post a thread in the Completed Projects / Gallery with this one, as well as some of my other older models. If I remember correctly, I posted this shortly after I first joined. Just so you know in advance, it`s not that great.
