im having a small problem with my brakes. the pedal seems to be dropping down just enough to make the lights come on. sometimes when i drive i have to hold the pedal up with my foot to keep the lights off and at night i have to pump them to make sure that the lights dont turn on in the night and drain my battery. i think the pedal may need to be adjusted but i am not sure, so maybe someone can help me out. i have already blead the brakes to make sure there was no air in the line (but i dont think having air in the line would give me this problem anyway, i just did it to be sure though). any help would be great.

Do the brakes feel right in general? You do not mention the year. Could the master cylinder or power brake booster be acting up? I don't think I would mess with pedal adjustment until I was sure the brake system as a whole was functioning right. In other words if simething else is causing this to happen, you may adjust your pedal to a point the brakes could act more messed up.

sounds like you have air in the lines. try bleeding them off.
check you fluid in the master cylinder and check your brake hoses
going to your calipers.
