i was thinking of sticking with the eclipse no way i want to get rid of it i took a long when i say long a long hard look at it and just fell in love with it so any mods you guys think i should start on to make my 10sec sleeper a reality

We will be glad to help you build a fast car. Step 1 is punctuation and grammar, I really wouldn't want to read 50 posts of that. Step 2, don't build 'a 10 sec sleeper' just keep going faster. 10 seconds is 500+whp and not many people can seriously expect that.

if your planning on goin that fast a auto would be reputable only because they shift quicker than a manual... and you will never miss a shift, now you might say that they are way slower, yes and no... with a nice size stall/torque converter and a shift kit, you can pretty much make a auto as fast as a stick (and you dont have to worry about burning up the clutch or having to replace it)

I thought that most of those shift kits are fake. Have you found some real ones?

EclipseRST

how would you make a fake shift kit? do you know what a shift kit is?

sorry for the miss spelling ill keep a look out for that and i would rather have a stick then automatic because for me theres no better feeling then shifting threw gears and know all that power is controlled by you but what would be a good first mod i have $800 to blow so whats first on the list you guys think

You could probably get an intake and exhaust for that much.

do the normal free mods...

hard intercooler pipes
exhaust
boost controller
intake

then with whatever you have left over start working on fuel

AFC + data logger is pretty much your best bet cause i dont believe they make DSMlink for 1st gens yet
injectors
fuel pump

that should take care of all that money, maybe even a little more and you should definately notice an increase in power with those mods!

ive read alot of the articles and studied up on the engine internals (thanks for the links joe) 500whp dosent seem to far away its a dream and a dream is just a cheap peek in the future i think i might be crazy :screwy: but hey as long as i have you guys support im confident it will work out for the best in the end hey i have a question do you guys ever meet up at all even if its not local like a event or anything like that? because i would love to meet you guys when my cars all done so i can at least meet the people that helped me :bigthumb:

I don't think I would make it to a local event... unless local means Alaska. I'd recommend SBR, RRE, and FP the most. You can learn a lot from vendor sites, but half of it is marketing pitch. www.slowboyracing.com www.roadraceengineering.com www.forcedperformance.com

SBR... succesfully pissed me the hell off. I ordered my evoIII 16g from them 2 weeks ago. I live 2 hours away. it STILL isn't here!!! I could have driven down and got it from them at the store 10 times by now... BUT MY CAR DOESN'T RUN!! sorry... just needed to vent. they also haven't sent the fmic yet either. Other companies to check out are dsmparts.com and extremepsi.com. good stuff. extreme has AWESOME shipping and really good prices! I got my fuel kit (680 injectors, walbro 190, and apex s-afcII) in 2 days! You can't beat that.

if you're goin for 10 seconds... nope. not big enough. Do all your other support mods before you start worrying about upgrading your turbo.

JoeWagon

t3/t4 isn't a turbo. Stop looking for '10 seconds'. Dre has a t3/t4 50 trim and has 503whp on pump gas. It doesn't matter if the car runs 9's or 12's.. it's fast.
