You philistine!!
(Look that up :p )

A Chevy?? May a thousand old Vegas leave rust deposits on your front lawn!!

Its a 1973 Ford Torino.

(It might be a '74, there are no pics of it on the movie webside from the rear, so I'm not sure. )
It's not quite a 'muscle car', they were not quite old enough and a bit too heavy, but very cool all the same.

I heard that '76 Torinos have increased in value since the movie came out.

Well, if its a '76, there is little chance it has a 351C, which was the best feature of the '73 Torino.

Actually they came with a 460, and a C6 tranny. They were sold as the Starsky and Hutch special. Oh and as far as weight, they were still only around 3200 pounds and change.

Follow-up to original post: The 76 Starsky and Hutch special did come with the Special Paint Scheme, and a 351 Cleveland. They also added bucket seats, because the actors in the show didn't like sliding into each other with the bench seats they were previously using.
