To get to the point, i have a choice. Either Panasonic CDQ-C1120U or Alpine CDM-9821. The price is no different, 150 with tax and installed with the wiring harness and the dash kit and all. Panasonic comes with remote, 25x4 rms power, alpine no remote & 16 x 4 rms power. Also, signal to noise ratio on pan is 96db on cd and FM 62db, whereas alpine is 105db on cd and 65db on FM.. if that means anything? But then again.. its alpine so quality probably is better. Any help here would be great

well dude, i have always liked alpine over pretty much every brand so i would definately go with that, but since it is for your sister then i would ask her which one she thinks is the "prettiest". i would say the alpine would sound better though, just because it is alpine.

Does it make a noticable difference if its 25watts RMS or 16 watts RMS? Because thats like the only thing stopping me from the alpine.. and that its not mosfet amplified.

Yes it does make a differance. RMS is continuous power. You want the highest of that that you can get. An amp with an RMS of say 25w and a peak of 45w will play cleaner and louder than an amp of say 16w RMS, and 60w peak. The peak is rarely used, and the continuous is what means the most for power ratings.

would he or his sister be able to notice though with only 9 watts rms difference? especially being so low?
