1994 Z34 Chevy Lumina Help!!! Has Irratic Idle

IM trying to sell my 94 lumina Z34 but sometimes i start it up and the idle goes up really high and very slowly comes back down. It idles at 1500 rpms. Sometimes im driving and the it starts putting and dieing out!! what should i do? also lately the brakes have gotten really hard to push down and their is a squeling sound when i pull up to a stop with the windows down, i can hear squealing? (and its not my tires!!)

It's hard to trouble shoot a problem without the car in front of me but I'll try. As far as the brakes go, if your fliud is full it's a vacumn leak like Tom stated which could also be causing you idle problem. It would also be a good idea to clean your engine out with some carb or fuel injector cleaner. I recommend using the spray into the throttlebody type cause it works better than the gas additive type. After you clean it leave your engine running for atleast 1/2 hour to reset the computer. Hope this helps.
