Well a 500 horse with a 300 shot would put you about 800 horse, Well my friend has a civic hatchback that push's just about 800 horse and the car does weigh ALOT lighter than a Trans Am by about 1,700 lbs or so so there for its power to weight ratio is ALOT better and his 1/4 is a 8.8 on full slicks. Now there is alot of other imports that have 500 horse or little bit more and they pull 9's so see the trans am with its 383 stroker isnt all that great.
Now when your trying to go 4 seconds in the 1/4 well yeah then your going to have to go V8 but were not talking about going top fuel here lmao but when it comes to both daily drivers/track cars like my friends 800 horse hatch which believe it or not is a daily driver and track car, is alot quicker than your trans am. So V8's arent the greatest...........

Regardless... the phrases 800hp and Honda don't normally go together. So I'll join the rest of the group and say...
Prove it. :bs:

A lot of you guys are saying that 800 horses isnt legal, but there's an old corvette here fixed up with huge tires and it runs mid 7's in the quarter mile and it has over 1000 horse power. And its also street legal. If i find the website ill post it. I think its supposed to be the fastest street legal car in Canada.

Not to mention, any Honda motor, with maybe the exception of their V6's, would have to be highly-boosted to produce 500hp...then a 300 SHOT??? Just like William Hung said: "She bangs!"

Dude, there are a lot of 800 hp, street-legal cars in America, even in California, with the most stringent emissions laws, BUT, we ARE talking about Hondas here.
I know of two, as far as I know, that are near or past the 800 crank-hp, and street-legal. One is a 710whp Civic from Seattle, and a 725whp Civic from Los Angeles. But those are MAJOR exceptions, unless you're from a state that doesn't require emissions.

All I can say is :bs: A 800hp civic could barely be called a civic anymore with all the mods you would have to do.

I met a guy with a dyno-proven 400whp Civic Si (no nitrous) a few days ago, and it's built to hell.. There is NO WAY any Honda i4 could handle a 300hp shot on top of that amount of boost.
I'm calling complete bullshit.. and making up silly lies to start another V8 vs Honda war should get you banned/suspended and caned publicly.

a 300 shot of nitrous on a street legal car????
touching on ricochet's post, I ve personally seen a civic that was pushing around that (yes, i have seen dyno sheets too) and there isnt a stock piece under the hood and it was boosting at about 25 psi, thats ALOT of pressure, theres no way you could get a 300 shot without blowing that motor up. Steph Papdakis runs a civic thats 1500 ponies but that motor is basically shot after a run.
I give this two BS's
