2002 Transmission

I have a 2002 Silverado 5.3 Ext Cab Short Box 4x4. The transmission has never seemed to shift quite right since it was new. I now have 60,000 on it and just wondering if this is "normal" or if it will someday go out. There is alot of lag time between gears, and occassionally it will not shift down to first at a stop sign, and I will take off in second gear. I have had the fluid changed and flushed about 15,000 miles ago. The dealer has seen it several times and does not think it is a problem. I dorve my old truck(a 99 with 117,000) the other day and it shifts, much more positive. Is this just an electronic transmission at its finest, or will it eventually take a dive??

I bought my 02 used last April. It had 30,000 miles on it. The trans had a funny feel when it shifted from 1st to 2nd, it shuddered. It was bearly noticeable sometimes and very noticeable other times. It would vary without any regard as to weather it was hot or cold, hard acceleration or easy. I carried it in to the dealer and he found a service bulleton about the shift solinoid. He changed it out and I changed to synthetic ATF and at 39,000 miles it's been ok. Cliff
