I was watching a show on tlc a while ago, i think it was called rides. There was a guy that had an old hot rod that was 4 wheel drive. It was awesome  And it got me thinkin, how would i go about putting 4 wheel drive on a car like a mustang or lemans? Anyone know of any websites i could check out? :smokin:

Its relatively easy to put a car body on a 4x4 frame if you dont mind grunt work and you have the right tools. The important thing is to find a truck frame and a car body with a near equal wheel base. Ive heard that mustangs and some of the small broncos work well together.
If you want to do it the easy way just weld the car body to the truck frame. If not then you will have to drill holes in the appropriate places to put in bushings and what not. The only things that you really need to line up are the shifter, unless its a column shift then Im not sure what kind of adapters you might need and the steering column. Make sure the car body sits high enough so as not to interfere with tire clearance, unless you are going to make the wheel wells bigger. You will have to weld on shock mounts and spring mounts to either the car body or truck frame.
I guess the bottom line is LOTS OF FABRICATION AND WELDING. I dont know of any kits that would assist you in you endeavor. Its definately not a beginners project but good luck.
