Hi,
I am considering to buy a 2003 Z4. I'd like to have the BMW navigation system, but very few of the used Z4 seem to come with it.
Anyone got an idea how big of a problem it is (and how expensive) to have either the original BMW or an aftermarket system fit in, and where I can have that done in the SF bay area?
Thanks a lot!

Check out the VCommand VCOM system... I've got it and the really sweet thing about it is that it's completely voice controlled (no screen or buttons to get you distracted and killed like my other system almost got me) so the hardwired install can be done almost invisibly in your car, since it can be hidden away out of sight.
I got mine from http://www.autoetcetera.com ; they're the only ones I found who are selling the latest version of the system directly from teh manufacturer, and with 3 years warranty and also included is 3 years of annual map database upgrades.. everywhere else were selling older systems with only 1 year of stuff.
Oh, they have a $100 rebate deal going to pay for your professional installation of the hardwired system too. Any local car audio shop you find should be able to do it for for less than that.
