since money isn't a problem, get a rebuilt engine from these guys http://www.hondaraceengines.com/enginebuilding.htm

then install a stage 3 turbo kit from rev hard
http://www.revhard.com/turbo_kits.html

and give it some good boost.

450 hp is too much for me, 300-325whp maximum is my goal.

wouldn't it be better not to go v-tec and stick with b18 head because they are better for boosting?

What about a b20 block with a b18 head? and some other things?

jeezus. 350 whp is alot for a fwd honda. you definitly going to need turbo. to handle that much boost, you'll need forged internals(pistons, rods) and youll need to resleeve your block. but i recommend visiting
www.honda-tech.com and search there too.
slicks for the strip. youll spin tires in about every gear

also, you dont really need a vtec head for turbo. but if you got money then by all means go ahead. a good p&p on your ls head will suffice

go to jim wolf for a ecu not hondata thats all i know. this is way above me. 450 is a hell of alot. thats like a 11.08 in the 1/4.. thats just from the Calculator so dont get to happy and you have a lot of work in front of you....... thats just my take....

my friends friend has a GSR w/ a Type R motor swap w/ a turbo, not sure what kind but he claims to have like 330 hp at 10psi. If thats true just get a type r and boost it

10psi on a type r should be pushing alot more hp than that .... an ls with 12 psi can do about 260- 300 hp with the right tunning

Sleeve, Crank work, Pistons, rods, berrings, ARP head bolts, performance gaskets, stage 5 clutch, Hondata tuned on RCI 750cc injectors all on a custom T4/T3 turbo kit w/ Starion FMIC. Cost in the lower end Of $7000, and will push 450-550 whp depending on fuel tuning.

WOW 450HP ON A LS! your going to need ALOT of stickers!

To turbo an LS is better then to turbo a type r. The higher compression on the b18c5 makes it harder. You can push alot more PSI on a LS then the type r.

You will ayso have to deal with valve overlap. Which ends with detonation.

a setup that some drag racers with acuras and hondas use is they take the head from a GSR and port and polish it then put in VTEC killer cams and go turbo...you are going to need a good size turbo. im pushin going to be pushin 427hp at the crank in my rex with a B18A1 and custom turbo with titanium valve springs and all the goodies and i dont sujjest going with a stage 5 clutch becauze you wont beable to slip it if you are driving on the street and if you do slip it its done just my 2 cents
