pulleys or headers

I have been debating wether or not to get underdrive pullies or headers. I DONT REALLY KNOW THE HP GAINS ON THE HEADERS BUT FROM WHAT I READ ABOUT THE PULLIES THE AVERAGE IS AROUND TEN. IMO I think I would be happier with headers. But thats another problem. What do I get, long tube or short tube. Keep in mind this is a 99 v6. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hmm what else is done to your car but i'm thinking headers will help more regardless

I'd say power gains would be pretty even. The pullies will be a little easier to install than the headers though. I guess to me it would be an issue of how much time a want to spend on it.

I'd rather have full length headers than pullies anyday. But there is a lot more time and money spent on LT headers.

i would go with some shorty headers! on the newer stangs the clearance is pretty tough on swaping headers but once u get that taken care of u can be satisfied with that deeper tone and the pullies arent too hard to install....i would go with headers first then pullies when u get some extra cash later, i think headers would pull about 12 extra horses and pullies would do around 7....in different rpm ranges ofcourse

Yea I prob will I need some time thought I got a ton of shit going on right now. I got motivated after Sunday so that night I tore down a 351W and a 302. I have to decide what my final plan for each so I can run with you. Then I need to get the black one out my 83 back in and tear that down.


Plus my car is being sandblasted today so I need to find time to paint it also. It's gonna be a long spring.....
