new project 3.4

riddle me this, i got a 94 bird with a 3.4 i replaced mt water pumpand thermostat and plugs, which i might add was a bitch.... but ive never worked on smaller motor ie the 207. its automatic, the cat conv rattles and my exhaust is drained HP, and the air intake is the worst set-up ive seen in my life. i wanna hook this car up nice.
my ? is what is a good ideaq for air intake i was thinking a scoop on the hood would be nice any idea's. thanx

If you're gonna change the hood up a little, just get the ws6 ramair hood and have someone fabricate an airbox and add a k&n filter to that. But a much cheaper way for 10-15hp would be to get the SLP cold air intake setup for about 210$

I did the math, and if i were to get a 3.4 instead of my 3.8, and i added a compcams highenergy cam and magnaflow catback and rk sport headers and slp cold air intake andd then a venom400 chip that claims to add 25%hp increase. that would put my 3.4 up to 250hp, is that right? would it be able to handle all that hp and torque?

I find it hard to belive any performance chip will give a 25% increase, If that was true it would give my T/A a 81hp increase to 406 hp. Most turbo or superchargers cant give a 25% increase in hp.
