I have a 95 Galant 2.4L that dies everytime after it runs for about 5 minutes. I have change the distributor, and ECU. Is there anything else that I should look at?
I hot wired the fuel pump and that stays on the whole time.
Disconnected the O2 sensor.
Unplugged the MAF sensor.
Pures like a kitten when running. After about 5 minutes it just shuts off like you turned the key off. No spit and sputtering????
Sometimes it wont start either. Starting fluid get it to kick over.
Anyone got any ideas???
Thanks in advance for your help.
Steve

hi,
try your crank angle sensor. check the wires first. if it is ok, then the sensor.
crank sensor gives signal to the ecu the position of crank and ecu gives the corresponding firing sequence. if its not giving the correct signal, your engine will just die out.
good thing your ecu is ok because usually it could also be the source of the problem. if the ecu goes into a reset, your engine dies out.
happy hunting.
