heater on 530 is always ON!

Heat is alays coming from the heat vents. I appears that the door that regualtes the heat coming into the interior is stuck - it doesn't appear to be the thermostats - So Does anyone have any suggestions as how to fix this??!!
The Shop estimated 400- 500 dollars just to take off the dash to figure it all out

Hi, Squillin-
This is a common problem that comes in three flavors: always heat, never heat, and always heat until you rev the hell out of it (which is what mine suffers) at which point it turns ice cold for about 20 minutes.
There's a valve that controls water going to the heater core. Open your hood, and follow the water hoses to the firewall. You'll see a valve mounted to the firewall with one hose coming in and one hose coming out. The hose coming out of it will lead straight to the little nozzles sticking out of the firewall.
That's the valve. Take the two hoses off, take out the one bolt or two holding it to the firewall, and replace it.
I see the valves on eBay for $30 and up.
