I do not know why gas mlage is so important to me...but here goes.
1993 GMC Jimmy 4WD 4.3L V6 Wseries...
and I get about 20mpg...overall...
17-18 in town diriving and 20-21 on the highway...
When i bought the vehicle it only got about 10-12 mpg
For the upper intake manifold plenium was leaking raw gas...
The CPI unit was leaking and the poppets were bad...
Also, the internal fuel lines were leaking as well...
I also have a 1991 Ford Econoline cargo van...
It has the 300cu in 6cyl automatic...gets about 15mpg overall...

My 86 Volvo 740 Turbo gets 19-22mpg on premium. 24mpg if I go the whole tank without using the turbo.
My 71 Buick Riviera w/7.5L V8 gets 10-11mpg in normal driving with the Holly Fuel Injection I installed. If I drive really hard it can be as low as 7 but I've only done that once.

Low 40s in town, 50 on the highway.
Generally get over 600mi before the low fuel light comes on for city driving, and easily 700 on the highway. Have had one tank where I might have made 900 miles, but I stopped at 842 because the low fuel light was on and I didn't know where I'd be at 900. Turned out to be 54.6mpg. That was driving only 68mph though, mostly on I-81 in VA. I was going insane!
Mileage drops a little in the winter though, so I'll see a couple tanks that come in at 38-39mpg. I guess that's not bad considering it's only a 3.7mi bumper-to-bumper "commute" to work and the car hardly even gets warmed up.

<--- She is supposed to get about 20 in the city and 24 on the highway. I think the average on the screen right now is about 18.6. Though the average is brought down when you let the car run, so it probably closer to 20. I've been able to get it to maintain 99MPG for 15 seconds or so on several occasions. :evillol:

9 mpgs, $3 a gallon. The other day it cost me $70 to fill a tank that will only get me about 200 miles.
That's 35 cents per mile for fuel alone. How much do I hate George Bush?

My Summit wagon's got a 12 gallon tank and when driven as calmly as possible, it can roll for 300 miles on it. So what is that, like 25 MPG in town? The car hardly ever see's the highway.
I'm a very aggressive driver, so I average somewhere between 200-250 miles on a full tank.

I drive a '90 Z24 and last time I took the time to figure out my gas mileage it was 21 mpg. Since then I have slowed down considerably, so I'd expect my mileage to be better now.
