Spyker 2001

If you want the skinny, here it is (try the link, though, it is good) This car uses an Audi 4.2L V8 with 420hp. It utilitzes a lot of aluminum, and the rear suspension in similiar to an F1 cars, re, the coil-overs are inbound, on top of the engine. The car draws alot from airplanes.
Top Gear (or CAR) tested it, and they found it to be remarkably well done, very refined and well screwed together. This car was made in the guys shed! They should be in production soon, if he can get financing and some luck.

The July 2001 issue of Top Gear. Page 16-18. Tiff Needel drove the car, and liked it. And Tiff's word is gospel (almost).

That is a pretty cool looking car. I wonder if we'll ever see anything like that on the road.

I saw the Spyker at the 2001 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. It is different, but it seems like a car someone buys just to be different. I don't get the feelingit an exceptional car. I was more impressed withthe Zhonda I saw at Pebble in 2000.

ive been to the spyker factory in almere and the are absolutely brilliant and f*cking fast too

the GT looks exACTLY like the Maserati GT car, i forget what its called......

I saw a Spyker Spider driving in Amsterdam in a couple of Sunday afternoon's ago. They look, on the website at least, simply stunning, with exquisite detail.

For some reason when i saw the pic of the spyker c8 all i could think of is how it had a slight resemblance to the mini cooper. Oh well, I like the mini, this thing is pretty sweet too.

Its not a very simple car as far as looks very clean cut but alot of curves and very sleek modern look. Very nice cut lines :biggrin:.

its an great car, and that magazine has something too dutch cars then? here in the netherlands we never say too, like an dodge viper:"this is one fat ugly AMERICAN sports car".(not that i dont like this car, i love it)
