having cheap parents they are making me inherit my sisters 97 Corolla, it isnt bad car at all, but i would really like a body kit and spoiler. Looking online [extremedimensions.com, ebay, & yahoo shopping] i am unsuccesful to find a non-fiberglass kit. I have been reading that these are very difficult to install and would require some molding of somesort. Having no experience in car exterior modding before, im not sure if adding a fiberglass kit would be a very good job, maybe i need help from professionals? The spoiler seems pretty easy, drilling wholes in the trunk... And im also thinking of a paintjob. Can someone please head me in the right direction? Is the fiberglass kit too difficult to install for a newbie? How much does a "good" body kit cost? How much would professional installation + paintjob cost? Be completely honest, if this whole thing is a joke, please tell me.
-Thanks in advance

I have a 95 rolla with a fiberglass body kit and it holds up pretty well. I've had some front end damage, but it was easily repaired. There are fiberglass and polyurethane body kits, polyurethane being the most durable. A friend of mine has one on his eclipse and it costed $1,500. I looked for a polyurethane kit for my corolla, but I couldn't so I went to racerwheel.com and got the fiberglass bomex kit. Everything fitted pretty well and it looks good. I have pics at cardomain.com/id/chickmagnet869. If ya need any more help, e-mail me at [email protected]

I have a 96 corolla with a bomex style full body kit. I paid 530 shipped for it. Between the day i put it on to today (about 3 months) I have put about 800 into it for damage repairs. I couldnt find a polyurethane body kit either but i did find whats called a poly fiber kit which is supposed to be almost as strong as polyurethane but half the weight. If you call sensemotorsports.com they have two styles for the 93-97 corolla. Oh...did i mention the kit I have now is fiberglass and sucks balls. Im about to buy the poly fiber front and rear bomex bumers from sensemotorsports in hope they will hold up better than the shitty fiberglass.
