Building Cheap System ($250)- Help?!?

Hay guys. I'm new to the car audio world. I just picked up a '76 280z, but the stereo is shot and I want to replace it. I have a decent head unit for it (Blaupunkt Austin CD41) that works pretty well (took it out of my Eclipse, its only 6 months old). It has 50w x 4 and 2 sets of RCA pre-outs. Anyway, I want to spend around 250-300 on just some speakers (no subs, I'm not a big fan of them and are overkill for the type of music I listen to). What brands and setups would you recomend I look into for this price range? Also, what speakers would do best in a setup like this (size and placement?). I was looking at 4" mids for the doors, a set of 6x9's in the back (going to have to cut a lot of plastic to do it, there are currently no speakers in the back), and POSSIBLY some tweeters for the dash. I'm sorry for my ignorance, I've never done anything but install a sub/amp, so I really have no idea what I'm doing. Thanks in advance for your help and patience. I promise I will be asking a ton more questions in the future.

I would put two 6x9's in the back and like two 5", one in each door. As for brands and affordability it depends on if you want better quality or better power. I am a big fan of Pioneer and you can get some good speakers in that range from best buy along with a Pioneer amp with Tri-mode there for about what is in your price range. I wouldnt bother with the tweeters in the dash, i think that would just be pointless. If you are looking for that good of sound range get some good 4way 6x9's.

Thanks for your help. I actually ended up ordering a set of Eclipse 6x9's for the back and Eclipse 4 inch for the doors. I'm going to try to run them off my head unit for now (50x4), until I get enough money to install an amp. I think it should give me the sound I am looking for. Now hopefully the install won't be too bad. I know I will be doing a LOT of cutting, lol.
